On behalf of the City of Timmins and members of the Positively Timmins Steering Committee welcome to our community awareness web site, a partnership initiative spearheaded by the Timmins Chamber of Commerce, financially supported by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and wholeheartedly endorsed by the City of Timmins. I hope that your visit here will be a positive experience.

Positively Timmins – J’en suis fier is a community pride campaign for the City of Timmins. The goal of the campaign is to improve local pride by reminding residents and others about the fantastic people, businesses, amenities and assets located in this community. This idea emerged from the Timmins Chamber of Commerce and is being championed by a community-based Steering Committee under the leadership of the City of Timmins.

It is my hope that this initiative will enable the City of Timmins to contribute to the quality of life of its residents by providing cultural enrichment opportunities, by improving its ability to recruit and retain young people and professionals, as well as by marketing Timmins for business investment and as a destination of choice for tourism. Positively Timmins – J’en suis fier will continue to strengthen, support and promote community pride.
